Job Description

In December 2015 IBM announced the new Watson IoT Global Headquarters and our first ever Watson IoT Client Experience Center. The new headquarters, located in Munich, will bring together researchers, developers and consultants in a "campus" environment to drive collaborative innovation and deeper engagement with clients and partners from around the world. The center will also serve as a lab for data scientists, engineers and programmers to build innovative solutions at the intersection of cognitive computing and the IoT. The IBM Munich Center will cultivate the most vibrant global ecosystem of clients, startups, researchers and academics from every industry. Be part of the team responsible for the flagship Client Experience Center in the Watson IoT global headquarters in Munich! It is a state of the art facility capable of taking our key clients through real world immersive cognitive computing experiences, various Watson live integrated systems and provides innovation rooms for client discussions equipped with the most sophisticated collaboration technologies in the industry.


We are looking for an Cloud Operation Professional. The Cloud Operations  team is focused on our clients gaining the maximum from their data by ensuring their IoT Watson services and supported solutions are "always" operational.  The cloud ops team acts as a first responder to outage events generated from internal monitoring or an external ticket on a 24x7 basis.  Response to outages events are accomplished through runbooks initially created by the DevOps team.  The cloud ops team confirms operational use and works to help refine and develop new runbooks through outage experience as well as working towards runbook automation.  The cloud ops team also drives the Change Advisory Board (CAB) as well as the RCA process. In addition the cloud ops team also helps maintain cloud security and enforcement as defined by the security/DevOps team. 
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience running IT Infrastructures in 24x7 environments as-well as previous consulting experience.
